WELCOME TO THE PRESENT MOMENT!

Now it’s time to set ourselves up for the rest of the year.

How do we do that?

Let’s start by being present.

So many of us spend a lot of our waking time on our phones, rushing from one place to another, stressing about traffic and thinking about the past and future. We worry about how to create the future and we stress over the past. Don’t get me wrong, I am a realistic person and believe that it’s okay to think about your past and future to create awareness,  but the problem comes when we spend too much time in the past and in the future that we forget about what we have in front of us which is today - the present moment.

I know you’ve heard this before, but it is so true.

All we have is the present moment.

Self care + the Glorification of Busy

We live in a world of busy, and not being busy isn’t cool. It’s almost like we get glorification for working and hustling our days away. However, this idea of being busy  can create stress, anxiety and unhealthy coping strategies. For me, there is nothing glamorous about this. I used to be that person, that would wake up early, skip breakfast for a large latte and hit my work hard, sometimes without a break and then find time after work to socialize and head home exhausted to sleep and do it again the next day.
